Thanks for the votes about the name change. Wow! Glad this last election wasn't that close. I'll wait two weeks and then make up my mind. There's good arguments on both sides.

Spend a little time with this chart thinking about all it reveals. Basically you have a 10 year window where you spend time with your children, then watch how fast it drops off. Your time with friends are in your adolescence. There's just a soaring isolation that last for life. This chart is about America. I'm not sure how well it reflects trends around the world in each category.

Hi Chuck

I like ‘Grounded’ as a title, but really what I like is your earnest teaching. I’ve just reread your ‘fruits’ book which is just a great reminder of being available to share God’s love wherever and whenever, when moved by the Spirit to do so. Rachel and I have been telling everyone for the past year that we just want to be useful for the Kingdom, once we’ve managed to sell where we live, but actually I believe being present to Him daily is along way to being useful! There’s a scale, from sharing our skills on a macro level, to just saying the right word on the micro level. I still dip into your Spotify Thread podcasts based on Genesis 1-12 which are heartfelt talks.

To encourage you, you are making a difference in this world: what a partner we have in Jesus!

Blessings Edward

Hi. I was even thinking of using a name from a great apologetics book. Perhaps gardening is fitting. Harvesting is later. But impacting lives through gardening, tend the garden... pull up weeds that entangle others, etc. (Not the pulling of weeds as in the parable...haha)

The chart was pretty sobering, looking at the increase in alone time.
