Sherry and I want to say welcome to the first Grounded Newsletter of 2025!!!
We got through a very busy 2024, wrapped Christmas, and now big players and forces worldwide are already getting locked into competitive positions for the royal rumble of 2025. Secret drones, China, Iran, Russia, Israel—Greenland?! (I gotta admit, I didn’t see that one coming), Deep State, AI, the economy, oh, the list goes on and on.
I don't know about you, but I am determined to have a great year. I’m serious. It’s going to be an amazing year, no matter what!
I'm just not gonna let my mind get sucked in by the fear-mongering of legacy media (I might turn it off for the whole year) or fall into social media doom-scrolling for that matter (really cutting back time on SM apps too).
Actually, there’s a new trend coming to the internet—slow. More reading. More discussing. Joining online communities. Newsletters like this vs the blitz of scrolling on social feeds. Long conversational podcasts (some are 3 hours long!) are trending. People are tired of living like chipmunks online.
I’m hammering out the vision for the year and Sherry and I and our family and teams are going to enjoy wonderful days, a sound mind, and sweet relationships as we accomplish the plans of God. We have this right.
We are the sons and daughters of God. That makes us the royal family, and we have the presence of the Holy Spirit inside of our souls, so we can live in every situation with the peace-filled, victorious mind of Christ.
Part of living out of the “mind of Christ” is to receive revelation daily. It's everywhere! Stars are shouting. The trees clap their hands. Children are laughing. God is everywhere around us, revealing himself and comforting us with his nearness.
Lately, I’m excited about what I am finding in the Word and in the good teaching I'm discovering from old books too. On top of that, there are anointed conversations we’re having with people every week.
To prepare for this important new year (things are radically shifting again globally) Sherry and I are intentionally slowing down and focusing on what’s in front of us.
I pray you're having the same kind of experience. Living with victory and authority is our birthright so let’s determine to walk in bold confidence all year. Amen?
News From the Quinley Publishing Empire
Lots of new stuff is happening in the content-creation realm around here! OK, at the risk of confusing everybody, I’d like to explain that we are multiplying (and dividing) channels in 2025 as follows:
Grounded continues to develop as my personal teaching feed. It’s going to go, hopefully, deeper than surface devotional thoughts we usually get on pop media. That’s the benefit of a newsletter format. Readers are deeper. They’re more patient and thorough in their mental processes. So, I’ll create some written-only content and a regular video/audio podcast (which can also be found on YouTube, Spotify, Apple podcasts, everywhere, really).
Typical topics are Bible, Jesus, spirituality, living it out, staying upbeat, smashing the devil, etc. The main stuff.
I love the level of depth in our Grounded subscribers! You love God and you’ve also studied the Word all your lives and thought much about what it says so I want to hear more from you this year. We can all learn together. I hope we’ll all do more in the chat so we can talk about all our questions and what we all think.- continues as the dedicated channel for friends and partners of Emerge Missions. Special: This year you’ll get 10 new up-close stories I think you’ll enjoy and hopefully share with your friends and churches. We have so many amazing young people rising up and we want you to know and celebrate that ”It’s working!” Thanks for the moral and, especially, the financial support for Emerge. This is going to be a much bigger year.
[OK, we had these two channels last year] NEW
Platform. I’m sooooooo glad Medialight is finally, getting its own dedicated voice. Sherry and I spent all of last year, positioning two senior leaders: Leinie and Lidya, who are the new driving forces behind the expansion of Medialight throughout the nations. It’s exciting to see what they’re accomplishing in the Philippines, Thailand and India especially, but now we go even more global.
The new Medialight channel will provide training and encouragement for Christian Ministries to use media more effectively to reach today’s digital young people. This is a robust platform with its own podcast, articles, and community. We already have over 1500 subscribers and released our first newsletter this week! It’s for anyone interested in raising their competence as a modern communicator for the sake of the Mission.
…..and drumroll please….A NEW
couples channel! This is going to be a video blog where Sherry and I have a 7-20 minute conversation about something related to marriage, serving, ministry, family, and maybe even a little bit on travel. (Not sure about that last part yet.) It starts within two weeks. Sherry will manage it.
SO, you can subscribe to any of these you are interested in, just by clicking the blue link (and you can also drop out of anything I’m sending you) —Hope you won’t, but I truly don’t take it personally if your tastes change.
What we really want is to be of better service. We are the Lord’s servants and yours, and we want to do whatever we can to help you and others in your network to grow in your calling and to love the life you are living in 2025.
Thanks so much for allowing me to have access to you via this email blast. It is meaningful for me to share God’s word and ways. I want to live this life and help others walk it too.
Thanks for helping us grow the newsletters and other content in 2025!
Love ya!
Chuck
Excited for all these adventures! Subscribed to every one. I have a vivid memory of a talk you gave at Mount Paran probably 25 years ago (or more!) You told the story of your daily prayer for God to send you one person to connect with and love for his kingdom. You said “Why would God not answer that prayer?” That story impacted me so much! To be on the alert at all times for the move of God is a mantra that I try to live by. Thank you so much for all that you do to encourage others in our walks with God..
